Eligibility and Enrollment

The HeartShare School is approved by the New York State Education Department to accept children ages 5 to 21 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as children diagnosed with mental retardation.

Children are referred to The HeartShare School by the New York City Board of Education as non-public school referrals. Families with Nickerson Letters can apply directly to The HeartShare School by calling (718) 621-1614 and speaking with the Intake Coordinator.
